Walking

Nathan's been flirting with walking for a while, but yesterday suddenly decided to be serious about it. While visiting the Mr. Rogers' Neighborhood exhibit at the Seattle Children's Museum, Nathan was so excited by everything that he started walking around — eight feet at one point without any help.

He's walking :)

Wow, there was something in the air on March 25. That's when Edith started some practice walking, too, and, as we later learned, the day our friend's daughter also decided to get up and toddle around with the other kids at playgroup for the first time. It's interesting how different they all are about it. Edith walks several times a day for short stretches, but she's primarily still a crawler or assisted walker. The friend's baby had never even cruised along the furniture and went from crawling straight into walking full-time. Here's to Nathan!

... and soon you'll think wistfully back to the days when you could drop him in one area with 98% certainty that he'd be within 10 feet of that spot a minute later.

I bet he's already running by this time. :> Lucky you!
