Comments: Night Terrors

My Neuroscience professor's kid had frequent night terrors. She said they typically lasted about 20 minutes. Then one night she decided that she might as well watch tv while her kid was keeping her up. Her kid calmed down in about 5 minutes. From then on, whenever her kid started having a night terror, she would turn on the tv, and it seemed to help.
She said she has no scientific backing for this result, but seeing how many studies there have been about how tv affects your brain state, it doesn't seem like a bad idea.

Weird. We are, of course, hoping that these aren't frequent.

Also, we don't have a TV in the bedroom.
