Oy. Does it perhaps look like some sort of antiquing finish? Probably not.

Our humidifier just died after about 15 uses, because the inner works were so crusted with mineral deposits. Evidently our water's not filtered either. Hunter Fan Company was very generous about replacing it, though, and from now on, we'll be filtering.
