Comments: for all the saints

Like your middle school friends, I did not recognize the hymn from the name. However, the link from your blog with actual music helped me remember. I just want to point out, though, that the same tune goes with hymn no. 166 (All Praise to Thee, For Thou, O King Divine), which we sing at times besides All Saints Day and whose lyrics look more familiar to me than those of For All the Saints. This gives more credibility to the claim that 'we sing this _all_ the time.'

First of all I think that it's cool that we both have friends named Ellen in CT, albeit different Ellens.

I also appreciate that you are a loyal and dutiful blogger.

But today's blog was over the top, and I was at today's service.

blah blah blah BLAH. . blah BLAH blah BLAH blah BLAH
BLAh blah blah BLAH BLAH, BLAH blah blah blah BLAH

Perhaps with Mr Mike's help you could add quicktime audio to your blog so we could hear and then truly appreciate:

blah blah blah BLAH. . blah BLAH blah BLAH blah BLAH
BLAh blah blah BLAH BLAH, BLAH blah blah blah BLAH

Ellen's original vocalizations from your answering machine could also be included

blah blah blah BLAH. . blah BLAH blah BLAH blah BLAH
BLAh blah blah BLAH BLAH, BLAH blah blah blah BLAH

Thank you for your continued blogging.

Looking forward to next years all saint's day blog.

Okay, who knew there was a bigger hymnal geek than me? But we still don't sing that _all_ the time. Middle schoolers just complain a lot.

And who said that hymns were only the music anyway?

Nyah.

Also, Tim and Stephen are now calling me "Skinny McFinney" 'cause of the pants thing. They are now my cool friends.

"quicktime audio"?

* awaiting instructions from collective *

I think it would work really well with Windows Media Audio, actually.

What's quicktime, anyway?

Meanwhile, I will bet your church neglected "A Mighty Fortress" on the important two-days-before-All-Saint's... on which 95 theses were posted on the door. Shame, shame.
